In her State of the Judiciary speech yesterday, Utah Supreme Court Chief Justice Christine Durham reacted to proposed budget cuts for the court. To deal with the 7.5% proposed budget cut, Chief Justice Durham said that the approximately 1,000 court employees would be forced to take 26 days of unpaid leave, which would result in closing the court one day a week.
