The BYU Law Library is looking to hire at least one BYU Law student to fill the paid position of reference assistant for approximately 8 to 10 hours this winter semester. The specific weekly hours will be based on student availability and preference.
The BYU Law Library reference assistants help staff the law library’s reference office, providing research support and library assistance to faculty, students, and other library patrons. Reference assistants also work on in-depth faculty research requests.
Qualifications for this position include: completion of the first year of law school, strong legal research skills, ability to work effectively in a team, excellent communication skills–both oral and written, and a strong work ethic. Experiences conducting in-depth research projects and working with faculty are preferred.
