For BYU students and faculty, Tax Notes is available but only by setting up an individual account. Note that non-law BYU students and faculty only have access to Federal Tax Notes. BYU Law students and faculty have access to Federal Tax Notes, State Tax Notes, and International Tax Notes. Because there is different access, the instructions are different. See below.
BYU Law Students and Faculty:
To get access to Federal Tax Notes, State Tax Notes, and International Tax Notes, set up your account, with your @law.byu.edu email, off campus. As long as you initially register off campus, then the account will still give you full access when you are on campus campus.
Non-Law BYU Students and Faculty:
Use your @byu.edu email address to register on campus to have access to Tax Notes Federal.
Non-BYU Patrons:
Non-BYU public patrons may only use the print version of Tax Notes inside the BYU Law Library.
