Today, May 4, 2012, marks the Hunter Law Library’s fortieth anniversary as an official federal depository library. To mark the occasion, a small display is on the second floor near the reference desk. The display includes the following local newspaper clipping:

Provo – Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark College of Law library was designated a representative depository for government documents during a recent brief ceremony in the office of Dallin H. Oaks, university president. Speaker of the House Carl Albert and Rep. Gunn McKay, R-Utah, presented the university president a 15-volume set of the U.S. Code. — Salt Lake Tribune, May 11, 1972
