It’s been over a year now since Google Scholar’s addition of free, searchable legal opinions. This is a great option for law students and attorneys looking to do some cheap searching to find out what cases are out there before they hop onto something like Westlaw or Lexis. Google has recently improved the legal opinions search by allowing users to search opinions from a specific court. To use this new tool, click on the “Advanced Scholar Search” on the Google Scholar page:
Then click on “Select specific courts to search” at the bottom of the page:
Then put in your search, select your court(s), and off you go:
