Law students interested in religious freedom may be interested in the Religious Freedom Student Writing…
Update: The deadline has been extended to December 7th, 2020. Submit your entry to the 2021 International Law & Technology Writing Competition for current law students by December 7, 2020. There is not much time left but entries are short: 1,000 words or less, blog-style (meaning minimal to zero footnoting, embedded links preferred). Grand prize is £ 1,500 and a 3-month internship at a leading legal research firm. The competition is hosted by global legal research provider vLex (BYU Law is a subscriber).
Choose from one of three topics for your blog-style article:
- Money, Law and Technology. A cashless future driven by a pandemic, Bitcoin vending machines and bankers bonuses, are stories many of us will be familiar with. But what are the legal stories behind these headlines?
- Influence, Law and Technology. Today the law needs to keep up with social media, fake news and influencers. Has much progress been made, or is there still more that can be done?
- Movements, Law and Technology. Protest, divided opinions and conflict have unfortunately been a part of human history since writing began, but have these events changed the law?
