BYU’s Fall Devotional and Forum schedule has some BYU Law flavor to it. You may want to get these dates down on your calendar.
Sept. 11 – Elder Steven E. Snow
Sept. 18 – Judge Thomas B. Griffith
Oct. 23 – Dean James Rasband
Elder Snow, the Church’s Historian and Recorder, is a BYU Law grad and was recently appointed by President Obama to serve on his Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships.
Judge Griffith is a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and is BYU’s former General Counsel. He is an adjunct professor here at the Law School and was the speaker at last year’s Law School convocation. Judge Griffith is gaining a reputation as a successful feeder judge to the Supreme Court and, of course, is popular in this blog for having cited to a YouTube video of Jimmer Fredette in one of his opinions.
Dean Rasband is well-known around these parts having been the Law School’s dean since 2009 and a faculty member since 1995.
