Position Overview
The BYU Law Library is seeking to hire 1-2 students as Innovation Fellows. This role offers students a chance to participate in developing and refining the Library’s Legal Tech Initiative and to conduct research on legal technology topics. Students will be paid $20 per hour and may work up to ten hours per week, depending on student availability. Innovation Fellows will assist with a variety of tasks, depending on individual interests and the needs of the LTI program. Tasks may include the following:
- Assist in developing curriculum for and supporting LTI workshops and labs.
- Assist in developing and supporting tech-related courses.
- Assist with generative AI benchmarking project.
- Evaluate and compare various legal tech training and assessment resources.
- Produce content for the Law Library website, including blog posts and resource guides.
- Conduct research and write on tech-related topics.
Qualifications
Students must have completed the first year of law school. Qualified students will have an interest in technology, strong research and writing skills, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Experience or education in technology is a plus but is not required.
