As a big basketball fan I enjoyed a Salt Lake Tribune article published a few days ago. “Playing Ball An Experience at the Highest Court” discusses the Supreme Court gym, which is located above the hall where arguments are heard, and some of the basketball that has been played there over the years. Jay Jorgensen, a BYU Law alum, and BYU Law null, both former Supreme Court clerks, are quoted in the article. My favorite part of the article was Justice Thomas’s response to Professor Lee when Lee invited Thomas to play a game of H-O-R- S-E. “You know, Supreme Court justices don’t play H-O-R-S-E, they play habeas corpus.”
