If you need to brush up on your legal research skills the library can help.…
If you ever have a minute to spare (I know that’s unlikely, but just in case), you might want to check out The Oyez Project. This website contains an array of information and media regarding the United States Supreme Court. Supreme Court junkies can find hours of entertainment and information here.
The site is most well-known for having audio files of Supreme Court oral arguments. (And what’s more fun than listening to the Justices grill seasoned attorneys?) Plus, these aren’t just oral arguments from the last few terms; Oyez has audio files from many older cases including the 1960 case Baker v. Carr. You can even listen to arguments in Roe v. Wade and other landmark cases of the last 35 years.
One of my favorite things about this site is that it has helped me become a little more familiar with the work of the Law School’s founding Dean, Rex E. Lee.
