With the help of Professor John W. Welch, the Law Library is pleased to host the “Two Ancient Roman Plates” exhibit that was previously at the Harold B. Lee Library. The plates on display date back to 109 A.D. and are some of the best preserved in the world. These plates, issued by order of the Roman emperor Trajan, are an example of double, sealed, witnessed documents. Additional relevant artifacts are also included in the exhibit. The exhibit can be found in the northeast corner of the law library’s reserve library. When you have a minute come by and take a look.
