If you were too busy with finals yesterday to catch Professor Aaron Nielson’s performance at SCOTUS oral arguments, don’t fret. You can still listen to the recording on supremecourt.gov or CSPAN, or read the transcript. Oral arguments lasted for an hour and forty-five minutes. Professor Nielson’s appearance begins about 35 minutes into the CSPAN recording, 33 minutes into the SCOTUS recording, and on page 39 of the transcript.
If you have even less time or are interested in commentary on the case, the New York Times has an excellent article summarizing the arguments. The summary from The Washington Post is good but focuses on the Justices, not the attorneys. Even if you listened to the oral arguments, take a look at this article from SCOTUSblog which has good analysis and a cool artist’s rendering of Professor Nielson!
