As we announced earlier this school year, Westlaw will be removing its printers this summer. …
As summer comes to an end it’s time for us to get you caught back up on what you missed while you’ve been away. One of the things we announced early on in the summer is that Westlaw has discontinued its student printing program and has removed all of its printers from the law school. You’ll still have the option to print to an attached printer, but Westlaw won’t pay for that. WestlawNext still provides the option to save your research in folders for you to access later, but we imagine it will take time for some of you to adjust to Westlaw’s decision to remove the printers.
Fortunately, Lexis has decided to keep their student printing program in place and we have Lexis printers available on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of the library. This may cause some of you to research primarily on Lexis so you can print. Others may still prefer WestlawNext, but can copy citations and print them using Lexis Advance.
