Circuit splits are a popular topic for student law journal Notes. About this time of year, law journal editors are beginning (or at least think about beginning) to ponder their Note topics. If you’re looking for a circuit split and can’t find one, there are a few good resources out there that might help you find a topic. First is a blog called Circuit Splits, which you likely found if just Googling the phrase. The blog does a good job at providing timely information and links about circuit splits. Another good resources is one that the law library has as a subscription to. It comes from United States Law Week, which is an excellent resource to keep you up to date on the legal world. U.S. Law Week has its own section on circuit splits that provides a monthly listing and description of circuit splits. Both of these sources are great places to find a topic.
