The BYU Law Library seeks a part-time Reference Specialist. In this role, the Reference Specialist staffs the Reference Desk, providing reference and research support both in-person and via telephone, email, and chat to faculty, students, and members of the public. Additionally, the Reference Specialist works closely with the Law Library’s Head of Reference and Faculty Services to help hire, train, and manage the law student reference assistant employees. These employees work part-time while in law school to staff the Reference Desk, offering reference assistance to faculty, students, and other library patrons, and provide law faculty research support, including working on in-depth faculty research requests.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Required: Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
- Preferred: Experience working in a law library; experience providing faculty research support
