One of the things I talked about in the Academic Legal Research training today was…
Trying to come up with a topic can be one of the hardest parts of researching and writing a paper. To help, the Litigation Section of the Utah State Bar has recently initiated a topic bank focused on providing potential paper topics for law students in Utah. The topics come from local practitioners and are generally Utah-focused, although some are more national in scope. Currently the topic bank contains 148 possible topics and more will be added as they are submitted. Law students wishing to use one of the topics listed are invited to claim the topic by emailing topicbank@utahbar.org.
With as much time as it takes many law students to discover writing topics, this will be a valuable project.
